These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VoidRift, a browser-based persistent space MMO ("the Game" or "the Service") operated by ATS All Technology Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in the Republic of South Africa, with its registered address at 62 Glenwood Road, Lynwood Glen ("ATS", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise accessing the Game, you ("you", "Pilot", or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction (whichever is greater), to register an account or make any purchase. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You may not share, sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of your account.
- One natural person may operate one (1) account only. Multi-accounting is prohibited.
- We may suspend or close any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not:
- Use any bot, script, automation tool, scraper, or third-party client to interact with the Service.
- Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended mechanics for unfair advantage. Discovered exploits must be reported.
- Buy, sell, trade, or transfer in-game assets, currency, or accounts for real-world value outside of the official channels we provide.
- Harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate other Pilots or staff.
- Post unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or infringing content in any in-game chat, forum, or messaging surface.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers, or other accounts.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable South African or international law.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and to remove content, reset progress, suspend, or terminate accounts at our sole discretion.
4. Virtual Goods and Currencies
The Game contains virtual items, virtual currencies (including but not limited to Gold, Bonds, and Platinum), and other digital content (collectively, "Virtual Goods"). You acknowledge and agree that:
- Virtual Goods have no monetary value, no equivalent in legal tender, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Virtual Goods within the Game. You do not own them.
- Virtual Goods may be modified, devalued, removed, or expire at any time without compensation.
- All sales of Virtual Goods are final once delivered. See our Refund Policy.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid subscriptions and one-off purchases are processed through PayPal, our payment service provider. By making a purchase you also agree to PayPal's terms.
- All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Any USD figures shown are estimates only — the ZAR amount is what you will be charged.
- Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled by you.
- You may cancel a subscription at any time via the in-game billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; the current period continues until its end.
- We may change pricing on prospective renewals with reasonable notice.
- Failure to pay (e.g. expired card) may result in loss of subscription benefits.
6. Service Changes and Availability
VoidRift is a live service. We may at any time, without liability:
- Add, remove, modify, balance, or rebalance any feature, item, or game mechanic.
- Take the Service offline for maintenance, updates, or any other reason.
- Discontinue the Service in whole or in part.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Service.
7. User-Generated Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. forum posts, callsigns, messages). By submitting it, you grant ATS a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service.
8. Intellectual Property
All artwork, code, audio, copy, names, logos, and other materials forming part of the Service are owned by or licensed to ATS All Technology Solutions (Pty) Ltd, and are protected under South African and international copyright and trademark law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any such materials to you.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for any reason including (without limitation) breach of these Terms. On termination:
- Your right to access the Service immediately ends.
- You forfeit any unused Virtual Goods, subscription time, and account progress.
- No refunds will be issued except as required by law.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ATS, its directors, employees, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, Virtual Goods, or account progress, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ZAR 500.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the South African Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA") or any other applicable mandatory law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ATS, its directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
