A browser MMO with nothing to install
No launcher, no patcher, no multi-gigabyte first download. VoidRift opens in a tab and you are playing inside a minute — on whatever machine you happen to be sitting at.
Why no-download matters
The gap between wanting to try a game and actually playing it is where most people give up. A client download means finding disk space, waiting, restarting, and often patching again before the first session. A browser game removes all of that: the decision to play and the act of playing are the same click.
It also means the game works on hardware that would not run an installed client, on machines where you cannot install software, and on a phone without a separate mobile build.
What you get in the browser
The whole game
Not a demo or a companion view. Every system is playable in the browser version.
Progress on the server
Nothing is stored on your machine, so you can start on a desktop and continue on a phone.
Always current
Updates land server-side. There is no version to be behind on and no patch to wait for.
Runs without you
Flights and cooldowns continue while the tab is closed, so short sessions still make progress.
Requirements
Any current browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge — on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS. There is no minimum spec worth quoting, because there is no client doing the heavy lifting. A slow connection is fine; this is not a game that depends on latency.
If you do want an app
Optional extras exist: an Android app and a desktop Companion overlay for Windows, macOS and Linux that surfaces your timers outside the browser. Neither is required, and neither unlocks anything. See the download page if you want one.
What kind of MMO is it?
Ready to ship out?
Free to play. No download, no app store, no waiting. Open a browser and burn.
